Godox & Pixapro
Here at Pixapro we often get the question, are your products the same as Godox? whilst yes, they may be created in the same factory, buying off PIXAPRO provides many benefits.
The PIXAPRO® GIO1 TTL (Godox's V1) is a powerful compact portable TTL compatible speedlight flashgun which features a round flash head instead of the traditional rectangular-shape and is powered by a high capacity 2600mAh li-ion rechargeable battery. Unlike traditional speedlites that use AA batteries, the GIO1 uses a lithium ion battery which will give you an impressive 480 full powered shots per charge. With an ultra-fast recycling time of up to 1.5 seconds and virtually no slowdown as the battery power diminishes to keep you going throughout your shoot. With a built-in receiver and a variety of different modes from HSS to the multi burst, it is perfect for people who shoot weddings, portraits, events, fashion, sports, fitness & advertising. It is especially good for shooting on location due to the flash being easily portable.
Light pattern comparison between the Li-ion580II and the GIO1 Speedlites.

HSS – Overpower the sun with HSS to make shooting outdoors not an issue, reducing ambient light and getting the shot you want.
TTL – Get the correct exposure automatically to make worrying about settings not an issue, ideal for those shooting in changing conditions like outdoors.
Battery Capacity – the 2600mAh rechargeable battery will give approximately 480 full powered flashes, to get you through almost any shoots without having to constantly change the batteries.
Zoom – It has a zoom range of 28-120mm, this helps you to restrict acting as a spotlight or expand the focus of the beam of light for even widespread coverage, allowing you to add more creativity to your photography.
Accessory Mount – The flash has a magnetic modular mount, this means you can quickly and easily alternate between different modifiers with little to no fuss, the fastest way to modify your light.
The ONE System - you can mix and match any PIXAPRO range flash. The universal flash is compatible with popular camera brands from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Fuji, Pentax with full control and even high-end cameras from Hasselblad, Leica and PhaseOne with basic control.

The new speedlite is in town.
I recently picked one of these up to add to my lighting kit and I love the clean pattern of light out of the round head.
It's much cleaner than a traditional rectangle speedlite head and works great as a key light or background light with a really nice fall off.
If you shoot with umbrellas a lot you will love how this light fills them making much more efficient use than a speedlite of old.
Don't get me wrong traditional shaped speedlite are great and still have their place but I can see me moving to a few more of these down the line.

GIO1 Round-Head TTL Speedlite With Built-in 2.4GHz Receiver and High-Speed Sync for Canon
I've got 2 of these speedlites now and I love them. Only slight problem is that it is quite easy to change the settings when your forehead comes into contact with the back of the light so I need to lock the settings which means I have to unlock them each time I need to change them which can slow things down a bit.

Bought one at last.
It arived today after a quick testing I found the menu far easier to navigate through than some of my Godox flashes. One thing I liked in TTL mode the distance scale this is very handy to know your parameters. The modeling light is not very bright but it works as expected. Useing my Godox Xprof and the Gio1 works very well with each other plus I added one of my Godox flashes into the testing. The photos I took in TTL like my other Godox flashes look very natural and not burnt out like other makes of flashes. This flash just after testing for a short while seems impressive.

Speedlites are one of the most common forms of flash lighting available, as they are the perfect solution for on and off camera flash. The newest advancement in Speedlite technology is the addition of a Magnetic Round Flash Head, helping to create a softer light fall-off and making it much easier to use modifiers with your Speedlite. In this Blog, we take a look at three Speedlites currently available on the Market, the PiXAPRO GIO1, Profoto A1 and the updated Profoto A1X, to see how these lights compare and which would be the best option for you.

In this blog post we are going to look at the often-asked question which light should I buy?
This shoot was done on 24th October of this year, roughly a week before the second national lockdown. As the second lockdown was inevitable, I decided I would do my last shoot before the lockdown and also decided that to choose a park which was 5 mins away from me as the location.
I can pretty much cover all of my location shoots with the kit in this case. I am able to use it for Studio based portraits, Prom and Graduation Night Balls, Corporate Head shots on location, Location shoots for both Private clients and Model based shoot and Product photography. I have covered weddings using this kit, lighting the main dance floor, the Bride and Groom shots outside and larger group shots, balancing the lights with the available ambient light.
