How the kit works
Godox AD300ProII
The AD300ProII provides the power behind the kit. Its 300Ws maximum output gives photographers useful control when working in brighter rooms or outdoors, while the battery-powered design removes the need to position the light close to a mains socket. Power can be adjusted across a 10-stop range from 1/512 to 1/1 in 0.1-stop increments, giving plenty of scope for balancing the flash against ambient light or adjusting output for different subject distances.
Godox QR-P60T 60cm Parabolic Softbox
Rather than using the flash as a hard, direct source, the QR-P60T gives the kit a compact 60cm modifier for producing softer, more uniform illumination. The quick-release mechanism is especially useful on location. The rods click into position during setup and can be released when it is time to pack down, avoiding the need to individually insert conventional softbox rods.
Godox S3 S-Type SMART Bracket
The AD300ProII can be secured in the S3 with its removable spacer blocks removed. The bracket then provides a Bowens S-Type mount at the front for the softbox. Because the bracket accepts Bowens S-Type modifiers, it also gives the AD300ProII access to other compatible Bowens light shapers when you want to expand the setup in future.
PiXAPRO 220cm Compact Nano Plus Stand
It extends to a maximum height of 220cm, giving useful flexibility for raising the light above a subject or adjusting the lighting angle. Its maximum footprint diameter is 120cm and its stated maximum load capacity is 4kg. For travelling photographers, one of its most useful features is its folded length. The legs fold against the centre column and the stand packs down to approximately 58cm.
