Godox KNOWLED MS60 LEDs vs the Godox RS60 LEDs
Two very similar LEDs, but with slightly different features and uses, the MS60 and RS60 lights are new additions to the Godox collection. Coming in both Bi-Colour and RGB models, these are super compact continuous lighting options built for video lighting, respectively, for large-scale film productions, and less intensive productions.
Both light models are identical to each other, with the same shell, dimensions and net weight before modifiers, with the RS models only lacking a few of the features of the MS60 (and making it more affordable and accessible for beginners in the process).
A quick specs check shows the RS60 light lacks some of the RGB gel and colour modes such as GEL and X-Y, and lacks CRMX control, the smooth dimming feature and light numbering too. Otherwise, it is identical and functions the same way as the KNOWLED version, making it great for student, amateur and smaller video productions where such precise detail isn't needed, and CRMX not used.
What does this mean?
The KNOWLED MS60 models are, in comparison, better suited for film rental houses, and professional video studios, gaffers, and teams.
The Godox RS60 can be used by photographers, independent filmmakers, small production studios and content creators requiring portability and different forms of battery compatibility.
Both models, however, are compatible with the same range of modifiers including softboxes, fresnels, barndoors and more!
