We know that sometimes investing in your photography or videography can be a big step, especially when it comes to purchasing lighting equipment. Luckily, we're a Klarna Partner, which means that we offer the option for you to pay for your EssentialPhoto  & Video order in three monthly instalments via the Klarna service to make it more manageable and get you the equipment you need without the stress. 


How do I pay with Klarna?

At the checkout stage of your order, you will be given the options to a few different payment methods to go ahead with. If Klarna shows up as an option, just click through to that payment method when you're ready to complete your order and Klarna will take you through their system to choose your payment plan and set up your payments!

Different payment plans may be shown depending on the purchase amount and credit score, and the amount will be charged based on the payment plan you chose.

Why is Klarna not showing up as an option for me?

Klarna will run their own background checks when you proceed to the checkout area. If Klarna does not show up as an option for you, it may be that Klarna has run this check and rejected you for their payment method based on this. 
Please be aware that this process is not run by us and is automated by Klarna themselves. If you believe you have been rejected in error, please contact Klarna directly for more information.

Does Klarna charge interest?

No, Klarna does not charge interest on their repayments.

How does a refund work if I bought via Klarna?

Refund cases should opened the same way as usual if you've purchased via Klarna, via our Returns Form. If you are refunding your entire order, once the refund has been approved, the total you have paid so far in your instalments will be refunded to you via your original payment method, and the rest of the repayments will be cancelled. 
Even if you're still paying off your purchase with Klarna, our 28 day returns policy remains on all orders, giving you 4 weeks to return items if you're just not happy with them, or 14 days for Pre-Loved and Clearance items. Any warranty returns will be handled as above.

What if I need to refund one item in a multiple item order? 

If you're looking to refund or return one item in an order where you have ordered multiple things, the first part of the return process remains the same. 
You would need to contact our Customer Support department at with your order details and the reason why you would like to return your item. If this request is approved, our Customer Support staff would then request Klarna to pause your repayments until the return details can be confirmed and the return can be processed. 
Once the item has been returned to us and checked, Klarna will then adjust your payments to remove the refunded amount from your total payment, and adjust your repayments to only cover the outstanding total. 

What if I can't make my payment on time?

Pay in 3 

If Klarna are unable to collect the payment on the scheduled date, they will try again. If the payment fails, the amount due for the missed payment will be added to the next scheduled payment. Missed payments can incur late fees and may be sent to debt collection.

Pay in 30 days

You’ll receive a payment reminder from Klarna if you miss the due date of your Pay in 30 days purchase. Be sure to pay on time to avoid late fees and debt collection.

I'm looking for other payment options for my business rather than personal use, how do I do this?

Klarna are a third-party company and operate separately from EssentialPhoto  & Video. EssentialPhoto  & Video have no control over those approved for Klarna repayments or the repayments process.

Returns Form

EssentialPhoto is committed to the provision of quality and reliable products and outstanding customer service.
However if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 28 working days for a full refund of the purchase price of the goods.
