How it works

The monitor wirelessly mirrors your smartphone display, allowing you to view the camera output from up to 10 metres away. This is particularly useful when the phone is positioned on a tripod, stand or other support and you need to monitor framing from in front of the camera.

Mirror switching provides additional flexibility when composing shots, while the wireless remote enables camera activation from distances of up to 10 metres.

For mounting, the monitor supports MagSafe-style magnetic attachment with compatible iPhones and magnetic rings. A 1/4"-20 thread and cold shoe provide additional mounting options for integrating the monitor into a mobile filming setup.

The built-in 1500mAh battery provides up to 3 hours of use, helping keep the setup portable and free from additional power cables while shooting.

Why choose this monitor

The SmallRig 4851B provides a straightforward way to monitor smartphone filming when you cannot easily see the phone's main display.

Wireless screen mirroring helps with framing during self-recording, while the remote control allows the camera to be activated without returning to the phone between takes.

Its magnetic attachment and standard 1/4"-20 and cold shoe mounting options also make it easier to incorporate into different mobile content creation setups.
