The Westcott FJ100 is an ultra-compact 100Ws off-camera strobe designed for photographers who need portable lighting power without the size of a conventional monolight. Part of Westcott's FJ Wireless system, the FJ100 combines a 9-stop power range from 0.78 to 100Ws, 0.01 to 1.6-second recycling and automatic or manual 24-200mm zoom. High-speed sync, Freeze mode, front and rear curtain sync, stroboscopic operation and Creative Mask provide additional control for everything from portraits to fast-moving subjects.
A bright LCD touchscreen provides direct access to settings, while colour-coded LED group indicators make individual lights easier to identify in multi-light setups. Power comes from the included FJ Mini AC/DC rechargeable battery, providing 700+ full-power flashes per charge. USB-C charging and power capability add flexibility for longer sessions in the studio or on location.

Compact 100Ws lighting
Despite its compact dimensions, the FJ100 provides up to 100Ws of flash output with a 9-stop adjustment range extending down to 0.78Ws. This gives you the flexibility to increase power when working against brighter ambient light or reduce it for more subtle portrait, fill and close-range lighting.
Automatic and manual 24-200mm zoom
The integrated 24-200mm zoom provides control over the spread of the flash beam. It can automatically match the focal length of the lens when supported or be adjusted manually when you want more deliberate control over where the light falls.
Fast recycling and action freezing
Recycle times range from 0.01 to 1.6 seconds, allowing the FJ100 to keep pace during faster shooting sequences. It is capable of shooting at up to 60 fps, camera dependent, while Freeze mode provides flash durations as short as 1/40,400 sec (t0.5) for capturing fast-moving subjects. High-speed sync supports shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec, providing additional control when balancing flash with ambient light.
Creative Mask
Westcott's Creative Mask feature allows photographers to create up to six lighting combinations without physically repositioning the lights. This can be particularly useful for sports, school, high-volume and portrait photography where several lighting variations need to be captured efficiently.
FJ Wireless integration
The FJ100 integrates with Westcott's 2.4 GHz FJ Wireless system, providing 31 channels, 16 groups and a stated wireless range of up to 328 ft / 100 m. With a compatible separately available FJ transmitter, TTL operation is available for supported Canon, Nikon, FUJIFILM and Sony camera systems. The FJ100 can also be used with the Westcott StudioLink app when paired with a compatible separately available FJ wireless trigger.
Touchscreen control
A bright colour LCD touchscreen provides direct access to power, groups, TTL and other settings. An integrated help guide provides on-screen assistance, while colour-coded LED group indicators make it easier to identify individual lights when working with a multi-light setup.
FJ Mini AC/DC battery
The included removable 7.4V, 3200mAh, 23.68Wh lithium-ion FJ Mini battery provides 700+ full-power flashes per charge. Charging takes approximately 140 minutes / 2.3 hours via USB-C, while LED battery indicators provide a quick reference for remaining power.
The FJ100 can also be charged or powered via USB-C, helping reduce downtime during longer sessions. The battery is shared with compatible FJ100 Speedlights, simplifying battery management when combining FJ100 strobes and speedlights in the same kit.
2W LED modelling lamp
A built-in 2W, 5500K LED modelling lamp provides continuous illumination for assessing light position and direction before taking the photograph. Independent brightness control and automatic adjustment functionality provide additional flexibility when setting up the light.
Twist Lock modifier system
The FJ100 features Westcott's Twist Lock modifier mount for compatible light-shaping accessories. For wider modifier compatibility, the separately available Westcott S-Bracket 2 provides access to Bowens-mount softboxes and other compatible modifiers weighing up to 1.3 lb.
Stand and umbrella mounting
The included removable tilt bracket features a 5/8" receiver for mounting the FJ100 on a compatible light stand. It also accepts umbrella shafts up to 8 mm, allowing umbrellas to be incorporated directly into a compact off-camera setup.
The FJ100 combines the control expected from an off-camera strobe with a compact, battery-powered design suited to mobile photography.
