The Westcott FJ100 4-Light Backpack Kit combines four ultra-compact 100Ws strobes with the FJ-T1 M Multi-Brand Trigger to create a flexible off-camera lighting system for photographers who need greater control across multi-light setups. With four independently positionable lights, the kit can handle more complex arrangements than a conventional one- or two-light setup. How it works

Four FJ100 100Ws strobes

The four-light configuration provides considerably more freedom when building a lighting arrangement. Rather than limiting the setup to a single key and secondary light, you can dedicate individual FJ100 units to different roles. A portrait setup could use separate key, fill, rim and background lights, while an event or larger production can distribute the strobes around the shooting area. Each FJ100 delivers up to 100Ws and weighs just 1.57 lb / 0.71kg, helping keep the complete system portable.

9-stop power control

Each strobe can be adjusted from 0.78 to 100Ws across a 9-stop range. This allows the four lights to be balanced independently. One unit can provide stronger key illumination while others run at lower output for fill, separation or background lighting.

Automatic and manual 24–200mm zoom

Each FJ100 has a built-in 24–200mm zoom that can automatically follow lens focal length or be controlled manually. Manual adjustment is particularly useful in a multi-light arrangement because each flash can be given a different beam spread according to its role. Wider coverage can illuminate larger areas, while a narrower setting concentrates the light more precisely.

Fast recycling and action control

Recycle times range from 0.01 to 1.6 seconds, while continuous capture is supported at up to 60 fps, camera dependent. Freeze functionality provides flash durations as short as 1/40,400 sec at t0.5, helping control subject movement when photographing action. High-speed sync supports shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec, providing greater flexibility when balancing the strobes with daylight or working at wider apertures.

Creative Mask

Westcott's Creative Mask functionality allows photographers to create up to six lighting combinations without physically repositioning the lights. With four FJ100 units available, this provides additional creative flexibility for portrait, sports, school and high-volume workflows where different lighting combinations may be required while keeping the physical setup consistent.

FJ-T1 M Multi-Brand Trigger

The included touchscreen FJ-T1 M provides wireless control over the FJ lighting system and is designed for use with select Canon, Nikon, FUJIFILM, Panasonic Lumix and Olympus cameras. The FJ system operates over 2.4GHz and provides 31 channels, 16 groups and a stated wireless range of up to 100m / 328.1'. Colour-coded LED group indicators on the FJ100 units make it easier to identify and manage individual lights when working with all four strobes.

FJ Mini rechargeable batteries

Each FJ100 comes with its own removable 7.4V, 3200mAh FJ Mini lithium-ion battery. A battery provides 700+ full-power flashes per charge, with a stated USB-C charging time of approximately 140 minutes. LED status indicators provide a convenient way to monitor remaining battery power. The FJ100 can also be charged or powered via USB-C, giving you another power option during extended shooting sessions.

StudioLink app control

When combined with the FJ trigger, the Westcott StudioLink app for Android and iOS allows lighting settings to be controlled remotely from a smartphone. This becomes particularly useful with a four-light setup, where individual strobes may be positioned at different heights or around a larger shooting area.

Built for repeated shooting

Each FJ100 incorporates passive cooling and multi-stage heat protection and can deliver up to 100 consecutive full-power flashes. Firmware can also be updated through the USB-C data connection.

Flexible light shaping

Each FJ100 uses Westcott's Twist Lock modifier mount and includes a removable tilt bracket with a 5/8" receiver for mounting to a compatible stand. An 8mm umbrella shaft is also supported. For photographers who want to use Bowens-mount modifiers, the separately available Westcott S-Bracket 2 provides compatibility with suitable modifiers weighing up to 1.3 lb.
