Dedicated Sony compatibility
Unlike the multi-brand FJ100 M, the FJ100 S features a dedicated Sony hot shoe with Sony ADI / P-TTL exposure control. This makes it the dedicated option for Sony photographers who want to integrate the FJ100 platform directly into their camera system.
Fast recycling and action control
Recycle times range from 0.01 to 1.6 seconds, helping the flash respond quickly during events and other fast-paced assignments. Shooting at up to 60 fps is supported, camera dependent. High-speed sync up to 1/8000 sec provides additional control when balancing flash with bright ambient light or working with wider apertures. Freeze mode is available for situations where short flash durations are required to capture fast-moving subjects.
Flexible 24-200mm flash head
Manual and automatic zoom from 24-200mm allows the beam to be adapted to different lenses and compositions. The round head also tilts through 90° and rotates through a full 360°, providing flexibility for direct flash, bounce lighting and precise positioning. Its Omega flash tube produces smooth, even illumination with natural-looking falloff for portraits, weddings and events.
Integrated FJ Wireless control
The built-in 2.4 GHz FJ Wireless transceiver allows the FJ100 S to operate as an on-camera flash and transmitter or as an off-camera wireless client. Wireless communication provides a stated range of up to 328 ft / 100 m, with 31 channels and up to 16 client groups available. Touchscreen interface

FJ Mini rechargeable battery

3W LED modelling lamp
A built-in 3W LED modelling light provides continuous illumination with independent brightness control and automatic adjustment functionality. This provides a useful visual reference when positioning the light before taking the photograph.
Twist Lock modifier system
The FJ100 S supports Westcott's Twist Lock modifier system, allowing compatible accessories such as barndoors, reflectors and snoots to be attached directly. For larger modifiers, the separately available Westcott S-Bracket 2 provides compatibility with Bowens-mount softboxes and modifiers weighing up to 1 lb.

Intelligent self-monitoring heat protection allows up to 100 consecutive full-power flashes. The FJ100 S combines passive cooling with multi-stage heat protection and IGBT+ technology. Firmware can also be updated through the USB-C data connection.
