SwitVANGO-70 70W 1:1 Ultra-Slim RGBW Panel Light

The SWIT VANGO-70 is a compact 70W 1:1 RGBW LED panel designed for creative lighting, video studios and portable production setups. At just 21mm thick, the VANGO-70 uses SWIT's edge-mounted SMD LEDs and 90° light-guide technology to produce broad, diffused illumination from an unusually slim fixture.

Its RGBW system combines 120 RGB and 200 white SMD LEDs, with SWIT's Time Division Drive technology allowing the fixture's available power to be directed to the RGB LEDs when producing coloured light. This is designed to overcome the reduced colour intensity commonly found when RGB and white LEDs have to share a fixture's available power. The VANGO-70 provides CCT, HSI, RGB, CIE, GEL and EFF modes, alongside a wide 2800K–10,000K colour-temperature range, green/magenta adjustment, built-in Rosco and LEE gel selections, Bluetooth app control and DMX512.

How it works

21mm ultra-slim panel design

The VANGO-70 measures 313 × 313mm but is only 21mm deep. SWIT achieves this slim construction using edge-mounted SMD LEDs combined with its 90° light-guide technology. Rather than requiring a conventional deep LED array, light is distributed across the panel to produce a broad, diffused output. This makes the fixture easier to position in confined studios, close to walls or on sets where larger lighting fixtures would occupy too much space.

High-output RGB colour lighting

Conventional RGBW fixtures divide their available power between RGB and white LEDs. When producing saturated colours, this can mean only part of the fixture's total power is available to the RGB emitters. SWIT's Time Division Drive technology allows the VANGO-70's available power to be assigned to the RGB LEDs when producing coloured light, increasing colour-light intensity. SWIT rates the colour-light intensity of the 70W VANGO-70 as equivalent to that of a conventional 200W RGB colour light.

1500 lux at 1 metre

The VANGO-70 produces up to 1500 lux at 1 metre, with a 65° beam angle. Its panel design provides broad illumination suited to lighting subjects, sets and backgrounds, while RGBW control allows the same fixture to move between conventional white illumination and creative colour effects.

2800K–10,000K CCT control

For white-light applications, colour temperature can be adjusted across a wide 2800K–10,000K range. This allows the VANGO-70 to move from warm tungsten-style lighting through daylight and into cooler colour temperatures without changing fixtures.

Green/magenta adjustment of ±1.00 provides additional control when matching the panel with other lighting sources or correcting the appearance of light on camera. Colour rendition is rated at CRI Ra 96 and TLCI 93.

Multiple creative colour modes

The VANGO-70 provides several operating modes for both conventional and creative lighting:

Built-in Rosco and LEE gels

GEL mode includes 20 Rosco and 20 LEE gel selections, allowing familiar gel-style colours to be selected directly from the fixture without physically fitting coloured filters.

3.5-inch colour LCD

A rear 3.5-inch colour LCD provides a visual interface for selecting colours and adjusting fixture settings. Dedicated menu controls and hot keys provide direct access to colour-selection functions, making adjustments possible from the fixture itself without requiring an external controller.

App and DMX control

For remote operation, the VANGO-70 supports Bluetooth control from iOS and Android devices. Professional lighting setups can use DMX512, with 5-pin DMX input and output connections and support for 3-bit, 6-bit and 7-bit colour control. This allows the panel to work as an individual portable fixture or as part of a larger controlled lighting installation.

Flexible power options

The rear panel provides a 4-pin XLR DC input for wide-voltage DC operation. An on-board V-mount battery plate provides portable battery operation without requiring a mains connection. A Gold mount version is also available as an option. Battery operation makes the VANGO-70 particularly useful for location work or sets where running power cables is inconvenient.

USB connectivity

A USB-A connection is provided for firmware updates and user colour-profile uploads. The USB-A port can also provide power to a wireless DMX receiver.

Fanless operation

The VANGO-70 operates without a cooling fan, eliminating fan noise from the fixture. This is particularly useful for interviews, dialogue scenes and studio recording where lighting equipment may be positioned close to microphones.
