The Ulanzi MA04 MagLock is a compact multi-purpose magnetic mount designed for the DJI Osmo Action 6 and Osmo Nano. Its folding design combines four practical mounting options in one accessory, allowing it to work as a carabiner, magnetic surface mount, handheld grip or tabletop stand.
Ulanzi's MagLock system combines magnetic positioning with a quick-release locking mechanism. The camera locates into position magnetically and is secured by the lock, while the quick-release latch allows it to be removed without having to undo screws.
For framing flexibility, the MA04 provides 180° tilt and 360° rotation. This makes it easy to adjust shooting angles or switch between landscape and portrait orientation for vertical content.
The anodised aluminium alloy construction keeps the mount compact at 76 × 56 × 20mm and 64g, while silicone contact surfaces provide additional protection where equipment meets the mount.
The MA04 is designed for action camera users who want one compact accessory to cover several mounting and shooting situations.
It is particularly useful for travel, vlogging, action camera filming and everyday content creation where quickly changing between handheld, fixed and tabletop shooting is more convenient than carrying several separate mounts.
The MagLock system combines magnetic positioning with a mechanical quick-release lock.
The magnet helps position the camera correctly before the locking system secures it in place. When you need to remove the camera, the quick-release latch allows it to be detached in a single action without unscrewing the mount.
The MA04 can be configured for several different shooting situations.
Folded into its carabiner shape, it can be attached to a backpack or lanyard for carrying. Its magnetic mounting allows it to attach to suitable metal surfaces, while the folded body can also function as a handheld grip.
Unfold the MA04 and it becomes a compact tabletop stand, providing a freestanding option for filming, vlogging or positioning the camera on a flat surface.
The joint provides up to 180° of tilt, allowing the camera angle to be adjusted upwards or downwards without repositioning the entire mount.
This is particularly useful when the MA04 is attached to a fixed surface or being used as a tabletop stand.
The camera can rotate through 360°, providing flexible framing and allowing quick changes between landscape and portrait orientation.
Portrait positioning makes the MA04 useful for vertical social media video without requiring an additional orientation adapter.
Magnets are incorporated on both sides of the MA04.
As well as providing magnetic mounting options, this allows compatible magnetic accessories to be added to the setup.
A standard 1/4"-20 thread provides an additional mounting point for a second compatible device or accessory.
This can be used for setups requiring additional equipment alongside the action camera, such as another camera, phone, preview display or teleprompter.
The MA04 is manufactured from anodised aluminium alloy with magnets and silicone contact surfaces.
The mount measures 76 × 56 × 20mm and weighs 64g. Total weight with accessories is 85g.
A self-adhesive magnetic ring is included.
Before fitting the ring, clean and degrease the mounting surface and ensure it is completely dry. The adhesive should be applied to a clean, smooth and flat surface.
Press the entire ring firmly against the surface and leave it for 24 hours before applying weight. Position the camera centrally on the ring when mounting.
Uneven, greasy or dusty surfaces can reduce adhesive strength.
The MA04 reduces the need to carry separate action camera grips, tabletop stands and magnetic mounts.
Its folding design allows it to move quickly between handheld, tabletop, magnetic and carrying configurations, while 180° tilt and 360° rotation provide control over camera orientation after mounting.
The additional double-sided magnets and 1/4"-20 thread also provide expansion options when a more involved shooting setup is required.
