How the kit works

Three Godox SK400IIIV 400Ws studio flashes

At the centre of the kit are three SK400IIIV monolights, each providing 400Ws of flash power. Having three independently positioned heads gives you considerably more freedom when shaping a studio setup. A typical arrangement could use one light as the key, a second for fill and the third as a hair, separation or background light. Alternatively, the third head can be placed on the boom stand for overhead illumination.

Each SK400IIIV offers a six-stop adjustment range down to 1/32 power, with 1/10-stop adjustment, helping you balance the three lights accurately. Recycle times range from 0.1–1.5 seconds. Each head also has a 10W LED modelling lamp with adjustable brightness from 5–100%, making it easier to preview light placement before taking the photograph. The built-in 2.4GHz receiver works with compatible Godox X-Series wireless flash triggers. A camera-mounted flash trigger is not included in this kit.

Two 60x90cm rectangular softboxes

The two Godox 60x90cm rectangular softboxes give the kit a pair of controlled soft light sources. Their rectangular shape works well for key and fill lighting, producing broader, softer illumination than using an unmodified flash head. Each softbox includes inner and outer diffusion and uses a Bowens S-Type fitting, matching the modifier mount on the SK400IIIV. This makes them particularly useful for portraits, headshots, fashion and product photography where softer transitions between highlights and shadows are required.

40-inch translucent umbrella

The third modifier is a 40-inch translucent white shoot-through umbrella. Its simple folding design makes it quick to deploy and produces broad, diffused illumination. This gives the third flash a useful alternative character to the more controlled rectangular softboxes. It can be used for fill, portraits or other situations where broad coverage is useful.

Two 240cm air-cushioned stands

Two PiXAPRO 240cm stands provide support for the main lighting positions. Each four-section aluminium stand extends to 240cm and supports loads up to 5kg. Air cushioning helps prevent the stand sections from dropping suddenly when adjustment locks are released, providing more controlled height adjustment when a flash and modifier are fitted. Each stand also includes an interchangeable spigot with 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threads.

2-in-1 boom stand

The third flash can be mounted to the PiXAPRO 2-in-1 reclined boom stand. It can operate as a conventional light stand with a maximum height of 400cm or convert into a boom, with a maximum boom extension of 180cm. This makes it particularly useful for positioning a light above a subject, creating hair or top lighting, or moving the light towards the centre of a set without placing the stand directly in the shooting area. A counterweight sandbag is included to help balance the boom when equipment is mounted.

CB06 studio lighting roller case

For storage and transport, the kit includes a CB06 roller case with a rigid outer casing, padded lining and configurable padded dividers. Its internal dimensions are 94 x 34 x 25cm, and two caster wheels make moving packed lighting equipment easier between storage, studio and shooting locations.
