SwitS-3812 2-Channel 6A Fast V-Mount Battery Charger

The SWIT S-3812 2-Channel Fast Battery Charger is a desktop charging solution for professional V-mount batteries, capable of charging two batteries simultaneously. It provides 6A fast charging for SWIT S-8340S, S-8360S and D-8161S digital batteries, while other SWIT and compatible third-party batteries can be charged at 3A.

A front LCD provides detailed real-time information when used with supported SWIT digital batteries, including capacity, voltage, current, estimated charging and discharging times, and battery cycle count. Each channel also has a three-colour LED indicator for quick visual monitoring. Beyond battery charging, the S-3812 provides a 4-pin XLR DC output rated at up to 200W, allowing it to provide power to compatible equipment.

How it works

Charge two V-mount batteries simultaneously

The S-3812 features two V-mount charging bays that operate simultaneously. Both batteries can therefore remain on charge together rather than being processed sequentially. For production environments working through several batteries during a shooting day, this helps maintain a more efficient charging workflow.

6A fast charging

The S-3812 provides 16.8V DC at up to 6A from its battery charging bays.

The full 6A fast-charging rate is supported with the following SWIT digital batteries:

• SWIT S-8340S
• SWIT S-8360S
• SWIT D-8161S

Other SWIT and compatible third-party batteries are charged at 3A.

This allows the charger to take advantage of the higher charging capability of supported SWIT batteries while retaining compatibility with a broader V-mount battery collection.

Detailed LCD battery monitoring

When compatible SWIT digital batteries are connected, the front LCD provides detailed real-time battery information.

Displayed information includes:

• Battery charging and discharging status
• Real-time capacity and percentage
• Real-time voltage and current
• Estimated remaining time until fully charged
• Estimated remaining time until fully discharged
• Battery cycle count

Three-colour LED indicators

Each charging channel has its own three-colour LED status indicator, providing a quick visual reference for battery charging status without needing to read the main LCD.

4-pin XLR power output

The S-3812 also incorporates a 4-pin XLR female DC output capable of supplying up to 200W, with output up to 16.8V DC at 12A. This allows the charger to provide DC power to compatible production equipment in addition to its battery-charging role. An RS485 female output is also provided.

Worldwide AC input

The charger accepts 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz, supporting operation from compatible mains supplies in different regions. Its desktop enclosure measures 272 × 246 × 97mm and weighs 1.85kg.
