SmallRigRF 20C Portable Focusable LED Video Light (5335)

The SmallRig RF 20C Portable Focusable LED Video Light 5335 is a compact 20W handheld lighting tool designed for portraits, vlogging, desktop filming and creative background lighting.

Its push-pull plano-convex lens adjusts the beam angle from a focused 24° to a broader 60°, allowing the light to move between concentrated highlights and wider coverage without changing modifiers.

At 5600K, the RF 20C produces up to 5400 lux at 1m. A CRI of 97 and TLCI of 99 provide accurate colour rendering, while five LED colours – red, white, purple, orange and cyan – provide additional options for backgrounds, rim lighting and creative effects.

Built-in 5000mAh cells provide up to 1.5 hours of operation at full power. The light supports 36W USB-C PD charging and passthrough power, allowing it to remain powered during longer shooting sessions.

Who this is for

The RF 20C is suited to photographers, videographers, vloggers and content creators looking for a compact light that can provide both focused white illumination and creative colour effects.

Its adjustable beam and handheld format make it particularly useful for portraits, product shots, desktop content, background effects and rim or separation lighting.

How it works

Focusable 24°–60° beam

The push-pull plano-convex lens provides direct control over the spread of the light. At 24°, the narrower beam can be used for more concentrated illumination, while extending towards 60° produces broader coverage.

This makes it easier to adapt the same fixture for focused portrait lighting, background accents and wider desktop setups.

5600K white output

The RF 20C provides a 5600K white output of up to 5400 lux at 1m. With CRI 97 and TLCI 99 ratings, it is designed to reproduce colours accurately for photography and video.

Five LED colours

Alongside white illumination, the light provides red, purple, orange and cyan output. These additional colours can be used to introduce background accents, rim light or separation between a subject and the background.

Creative gobo effects

A set of 20 pattern gobos and a gobo holder are included. These can be used to project shaped patterns, adding texture and visual interest to backgrounds and creative lighting setups.

Built-in battery

Built-in 5000mAh cells provide up to 1.5 hours of operation at full output, allowing the RF 20C to be used without a continuous power cable.

For longer sessions, 36W USB-C PD charging and passthrough power allow the light to operate while connected to a suitable power source.

Flexible mounting

Three 1/4"-20 threaded mounting points allow the light to be attached from different orientations, providing more flexibility when positioning it within a lighting setup.

Why choose the SmallRig RF 20C?

The RF 20C combines adjustable beam control, white and coloured output, battery operation and creative projection effects in one compact fixture.

The focusable 24°–60° beam allows the character and coverage of the light to be changed quickly, while the five LED colours and supplied gobos provide additional options for backgrounds and accent lighting.

Its built-in battery and 520g aluminium body also make it practical for handheld lighting and portable setups where larger fixtures would be inconvenient.
