Pocket WizardCM-E3-ACC-1 30cm (1ft) Remote ACC Cable

The PocketWizard CM-E3-ACC Remote Camera Cable connects a PocketWizard radio to Canon cameras with an E3 remote shutter release terminal, allowing you to trigger a remote camera wirelessly.

A remote camera can be positioned where you cannot easily stand yourself, giving you an additional perspective while you continue shooting with your main camera. It can also be useful in the studio, allowing you to step away from the camera and concentrate on directing and interacting with your subject.

The CM-E3-ACC can also be used as a sync cable for flashes with a compatible 2.5 mm subminiature sync port.

How it works

Connect the CM-E3-ACC between a compatible camera's remote port and a receiving PocketWizard radio. The remote camera can then be triggered using a transmitting PocketWizard mounted on your handheld camera or connected to its PC port.

For handheld shooting where the main and remote cameras are triggered together, using a remote camera cable on both the transmitting and receiving radios is recommended. With most mirrorless cameras, a second cable may also be required for features such as silent shooting, electronic shutter or continuous high-speed drive where the camera's hot shoe may be disabled.

The cable can alternatively connect a receiving PocketWizard radio to a compatible flash with a 2.5 mm sync port.

Half press / Pre-trigger

With compatible PocketWizard setups, half press or pre-triggering can prepare the remote camera to take the photograph. The camera can focus and confirm exposure before the final trigger, helping it respond more quickly when the photograph is taken.

Pre-trigger functionality varies by PocketWizard model. A PTMM adapter can be added to setups that require continuous pre-triggering.

PocketWizard Radios

Compatible with all PocketWizard transceivers.

Older PocketWizard Plus, Plus II, and MultiMAX radios using a mono sync port on the top sync port require an MSMM or PTMM adapter.

Canon Cameras

Compatible with Canon cameras featuring an E3 remote shutter release terminal, including:

The EOS R5 and EOS R3 require the CM-N3-ACC instead.

The EOS R50 and M50 series do not have an external remote port and cannot be triggered by a PocketWizard radio.

Other cameras

The cable may also be compatible with most Fuji, Olympus and Pentax cameras that can be triggered via a 2.5 mm stereo connection.

It should also be compatible with cameras using a standard 2.5 mm remote port with tip, ring and sleeve connections, including certain Hasselblad H series, Contax 645 and N, and Bronica ETR and SQA motor drive systems. Test your specific camera to confirm compatibility.

Panasonic and Leica cameras with 2.5 mm remote ports featuring additional contacts are not compatible with this cable.

Flash

The CM-E3-ACC can be used as a flash sync cable for flashes equipped with a 2.5 mm subminiature sync port.
