How it works / component breakdown

290Wh high-capacity power

The PB-R290S+ uses 24 18650 battery cells to provide 290Wh / 20.1Ah capacity.

This substantial capacity is designed for professional cine and ENG camera systems where longer operating times are required.

The supplied figures state approximately 11 hours of operation with a normal ENG camera and approximately 3.5 hours with an ARRI ALEXA. Actual run time will depend on the power consumption of the connected equipment.

250W continuous high-load output

The PB-R290S+ provides at least 250W / 20A continuous output, including at low remaining capacity.

Peak output is rated up to 305W, with over-current protection specified at 24A.

This reduces turnaround time for a high-capacity 290Wh battery and can be particularly useful when rotating multiple batteries during longer shoots.

Eight-LED digital power display

Eight LED indicators provide more detailed battery information than a conventional basic power gauge.

When the battery is idle or charging, the LEDs indicate its current capacity percentage.

During discharge, the LEDs display estimated remaining run time based on the current power draw, with the supplied specification stating an accuracy interval of 15 minutes.

Sony and RED viewfinder information

Intelligent SMBUS communication provides compatibility with Sony and RED camera information systems.

When used with compatible cameras, remaining battery time can be displayed through the camera viewfinder, allowing operators to monitor available run time without checking the battery itself.

D-Tap accessory power

A D-Tap DC output socket is positioned on the top of the battery for powering compatible on-camera equipment.

The D-Tap connection supports a maximum output current of 10A, providing a convenient way to run additional production accessories from the main camera battery.
