The iFootage Komodo K5S Fluid Head is a compact, lightweight solution designed for creators who need smooth, controlled camera movement without the bulk of larger systems. Built from durable aluminium, it supports payloads up to 5kg, making it well suited to mirrorless cameras, compact cinema rigs, and lightweight broadcast setups.
With a 65mm flat base and standard 3/8"-16 mounting, the K5S integrates easily with tripods, monopods, and sliders. Its refined fluid head design and damping system help deliver consistent, controlled pans and tilts—particularly useful in live environments where smooth motion matters.
The K5S uses a fluid head mechanism with adjustable damping to smooth out camera movement during pans and tilts. Independent pan and tilt locks allow you to secure framing quickly between shots.
The quick release plate mounts via a 1/4"-20 screw and includes an integrated bubble level for fast, accurate setup. Its redesigned shape provides extra clearance for larger lenses, reducing balance issues on compact heads. A detachable pan bar gives precise control during movement, while dual mounting points allow flexible handle positioning.
For smaller rigs, stability and smooth motion can be difficult to achieve without stepping up to heavier tripod heads. The K5S bridges that gap—offering controlled movement in a compact form factor that’s easy to transport and quick to deploy. Its compatibility with DJI gimbals and Manfrotto 500 series-style plates also makes it easier to move between support systems without changing plates, saving time on set.
