It simply screws onto the centre of the internal frame, converting your ST-Series softbox into a large, portable beauty dish. The S65TDB is perfect for photographers, videographers, and cinematographers who would like the option of producing an edgier quality of light with more contrast and specularity.
The Godox S65TDB Beauty Dish Deflector Plate mounts to the interior of your softbox and is designed to prevent hotspots, if using the softbox without or with less diffusion. This enables you to achieve a more specular quality of light, without getting a bright spot in the centre.
The combination of the Godox ST-Series Quick-Release softbox's reflective interior, and the S65TDB deflector dish plate enables you to convert your ST-Series softbox into a lightweight, pseudo beauty dish. This gives you the option of achieving a crisper, edgier quality of light, without the bulkiness of a traditional beauty dish. You can also use it in combination with layers of diffusion to reduce specularity.
