DulensAPO Mini Prime 31mm T2.4 EF-Mount Cine Lens

The Dulens APO Mini 31mm T2.4 Prime Lens is a compact, lightweight full-frame cine lens designed for cinematographers, camera operators, and filmmakers looking for a distinctive vintage image with modern optical performance. Featuring an apochromatic (APO) optical design and a specialised coating for softer skin tones, subtle halation, and characteristic rainbow flare, the 21mm T2.6 combines cinematic image character with controlled colour rendition. Its compact form factor and lightweight construction also make it well suited to handheld, gimbal, drone, and lightweight cinema camera setups, while consistent dimensions across the APO Mini range simplify lens changes and the use of matte boxes and other cine accessories.

Full-Frame Vintage Look

Designed for cinematographers and camera operators, this full-frame cine lens delivers a distinctive vintage look while maintaining controlled, professional image quality. Each lens in the APO Mini series covers sensors up to full-frame and features a specialised coating that gently smooths skin tones and introduces subtle halation for a classic cinematic aesthetic. Shoot wide open at T2.6 to produce a distinctive rainbow flare, or stop down the aperture to reduce flare and achieve a cleaner image. The APO Mini 21mm T2.6 offers a sharp but forgiving focus rendition, avoiding an overly clinical appearance and creating a more natural, refined image.

Apochromatic Design

The APO Mini series features an apochromatic (APO) optical design that helps minimise both in-focus and out-of-focus colour fringing, even when shooting with the aperture fully open. This helps cinematographers maintain clean, accurate colour reproduction and consistent image quality across demanding shooting conditions. The natural colour rendition is particularly useful for productions where precise edges and colour separation are critical, including green screen and blue screen work, VFX capture, and compositing. The result is a clean, controlled image that retains the character and softness associated with a vintage cine lens.

Compact Form Factor

The Dulens APO Mini prime lenses are among the lightest and most compact cine-style lenses available. The compact design makes the APO Mini 21mm T2.6 well suited to gimbal, handheld, drone, and lightweight cinema camera setups, where keeping the camera package small and balanced is essential. The APO Mini series also maintains consistent physical dimensions across the range, including an 80mm front outside diameter and 72mm filter thread. This shared design makes changing lenses straightforward when working with matte boxes, filters, follow-focus systems, and other cine lens accessories.
