The DF DIGITALFOTO THANOS X is a mechanical gimbal support vest designed to take the weight of handheld stabiliser setups off your arms and distribute it across your body. Built for operators working with heavier gimbals, it allows longer shooting sessions with improved stability and reduced fatigue.
Supporting payloads from 2–8kg, the system is compatible with a wide range of popular gimbals including DJI Ronin, Zhiyun Crane and Feiyu models. The integrated mechanical arm helps minimise vertical bounce while walking, giving you smoother, more controlled footage in real-world shooting conditions.
The vest is worn around the torso and waist, distributing load across your core rather than your arms. A mechanical support arm connects to your gimbal, absorbing movement and stabilising vertical motion as you walk. The included expansion plate features multiple 1/4" and 3/8" threaded mounting points, allowing you to attach accessories such as wireless video transmitters or magic arms. A built-in V-mount battery socket enables power solutions for extended shoots.
For operators using heavier gimbal setups, fatigue quickly becomes a limiting factor. The THANOS X addresses this by shifting the load to your body while maintaining freedom of movement. The result is longer shooting time, more consistent footage, and less physical strain. The addition of an expansion plate and power options also makes it a practical solution for more complex rigs, especially in solo shooting scenarios where efficiency matters.
