The Tether Tools AeroTrac Workstation Ultimate Tethering Kit brings together a portable AeroTrac workstation, rolling stand, VESA monitor mounting and practical accessories to create a flexible tethering station for studio and location work. Designed for photographers, digital techs, videographers and creative teams, the kit provides a dedicated platform for your laptop and tethering equipment alongside support for a full-size client monitor.
The modular mounting system helps keep drives, power banks, cables and other accessories organised while keeping essential equipment within easy reach. At the centre of the kit is the folding anodised aluminium AeroTrac Workstation. It provides a 431.8 x 279.4 mm working surface when open, yet folds down for easier transport. Pair it with the included Rock Solid Low Boy Roller for a mobile workstation, or fit the supplied legs when a freestanding tabletop configuration is more practical.
AeroTrac Workstation
The AeroTrac forms the main working platform for your laptop, tablet or other compact equipment. Its anodised aluminium construction keeps the workstation relatively lightweight while providing a 13.6 kg load capacity.
Open, the AeroTrac measures 431.8 x 279.4 x 8.89 mm. It folds down to 279.4 x 215.9 x 19.05 mm, making it easier to pack and transport between locations. A combination of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting allows the workstation to integrate with compatible stands, tripods and support equipment.
Modular accessory organisation
The supplied Tech Clamps, Tech Straps, hooks and Retractable Accessory Holder help turn the workstation into an organised working area rather than simply a laptop platform.
Hard drives, batteries and other accessories can be secured close to the workstation, while the track system allows accessories to be positioned to suit the job. Two 1/4"-20 accessory threads provide additional mounting options for compatible arms and accessories. Magnetic Action Tabs help with folding and unfolding the workstation, while the removable handle makes the folded platform easier to carry.
Client monitor mounting
The included Rock Solid VESA Studio Monitor Mount adds support for a separate full-size display, allowing clients and crew to view live captures, edits or playback without crowding around the operator's laptop. The mount supports VESA 75 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 mm patterns and has a load capacity of up to 36.5 kg.
Rock Solid Low Boy Roller
For a mobile on-set setup, the AeroTrac can be combined with the included Rock Solid Low Boy Roller. Its hardened rubber wheels allow the workstation to be repositioned around the studio or set, while brakes provide stability once it is in place. The stand offers a height range from 0.95 to 1.8 m, allowing the workstation to be positioned at a practical working height.
The kit also includes a Rock Solid Master Clamp, Master Side Arm and Baby Ballhead Adapter for building out the workstation and mounting compatible equipment.
Freestanding tabletop setup
The AeroTrac does not have to remain attached to the rolling stand. Four workstation legs are supplied for use on a suitable tabletop or other flat surface. Use all four legs for a flat working platform, or two legs when an angled surface is preferred. This gives the kit additional flexibility when space, transport requirements or the shooting environment make a full rolling setup unnecessary.
The Ultimate Tethering Kit combines the workstation, rolling support, monitor mounting and organisational accessories needed to create a more complete on-set working area.
Rather than treating the laptop, client display, storage drives and accessories as separate pieces of equipment, the system brings them together into one adaptable station. This can make it easier to keep equipment organised, reposition the setup during a shoot and provide clients or crew with a dedicated viewing display.
