OBSBOT June Firmware & Software Update Now Available

OBSBOT is pleased to announce the June Firmware & Software Update across the OBSBOT ecosystem, featuring a major security upgrade for OBSBOT Tail 2 and Tail Air. This update introduces Device Permission Management for OBSBOT Tail 2 and Tail Air, providing enhanced security, privacy protection, and device ownership control in shared network environments. Alongside this key enhancement, the update also brings new capabilities across OBSBOT Center and Obsbot Live. 

OBSBOT Tail 2 Firmware Update

Upgrade to Version 7.2.13.1 to access key features.

1. Added Device Permission Settings.

As the highlight of this release, Device Permission Management introduces a new layer of security and privacy protection for OBSBOT Tail series devices. Users can now bind a device to their account and assign a Primary User, ensuring that only authorized users can access, manage, and control the device. This helps prevent unauthorized access within shared network environments and provides greater protection for device ownership, operational security, and privacy. 2. VISCA over IP now supports new features including recording start/stop and landscape/portrait mode switching.

Upgrade to Version 5.0.17.1 to access key features.

Easily pause and continue recordings without creating multiple files, simplifying post-production and content management.
