LIVE Lighting Workshops at The Photography Show 2026

We're excited to announce our LIVE lighting workshops that will be held at The Photography and Video Show between 14th-17th March 2026! With a range of partner photographers on our stand at F81, learn first-hand how to use PiXAPRO and Godox equipment to create stunning and unique images yourself at home or in your studio.

All of these workshops are INTERACTIVE which means that you can bring your own camera and take your own shots at the end of the workshop!

A skilled portraiture photographer, Gavin's strengths lie in creating not only beautiful portraiture, but also adding a unique flair and style! Gavin is best known for his YouTube channel, now with over 260K subscribers, sharing tips and tutorials on creating striking images in the studio.

Don’t Guess the Light, See It! LED Workshop

Studio lighting doesn’t always require test photos or guesswork, in fact it can be as simple as using sunlight. But unlike the sun, LED lights allow you to build and shape portrait lighting in the way you want and will feel instantly familiar to flash photographers, while remaining intuitive for those coming from natural light.

Starting with a single hard light source as a “sun,” Gavin will evolve the set-up using diffusion and shadows to show how light behaves in real time. You’ll see how reflectors, flags and modifiers work together to create contrast, depth and mood.

The session finishes with a clean, studio-style look using multi-light setups, shallow depth of field, and subtle background colour. Whether you shoot flash, LED or daylight, the goal is the same: faster setups and lighting that looks intentional rather than accidental.

This fast-paced flash demo proves that space is not the limitation to creativity. Working with the model tight to the background, Gavin shows how to create bold, graphic portraits in the smallest possible shooting area using flash, colour and clever ideas.

From coloured gels and smoke, to bold backgrounds and dynamic looks, this demo is a rapid-fire exploration of texture, contrast, and controlled chaos.

You’ll see how flash allows you to push creativity without losing consistency and how limited space opens up creative options. It’s punchy, visual, and unapologetically creative!
