Introducing the Godox KNOWLED MG6K Bi-Colour COB Light

The new addition to the revolutionary KNOWLED MG-Series, the MG6K Ultra-powerful Bi-Colour LED has an equivalent brightness of a 6K HMI, in a smaller, lighter, more energy-efficient package. The most powerful of the MG Range, the MG6K is highly anticipated amongst users of the MG1200 and MG2400 lights, for it's powerful output and wider CCT range, and it has even had a special shoutout on the British Cinematographer magazine website!

So, what's new?

Brighter Than A 6kW HMI

Despite being relatively compact and lightweight, the sheer brightness of the MG6K surpasses that of a considerably larger and heavier 6kW HMI, although significantly more efficient due to the LED design. When combined with the MGR15° reflector, the MG6K's optical efficiency is boosted considerably, with minimal light loss. matching the brightness of the MG6K with a 6K Par light with a narrow lens, making it perfect for lighting over long distances.

You can even pair it with the BeamLight Max90 or Max60 to throw your lighting over long distances with maximum efficiency for demanding shooting environments. 

Colour Accuracy & Representation 

The Godox MG6K has a CRI of 97+ and a TLCI of 97+, making it suitable for broadcast usage. This is higher than the MG1200Bi and MG2400Bi ratings of 96+ each, making the MG6K an upgrade for colour accuracy. 

Featuring a wide Colour temperature range, the MG6K can be adjusted anywhere between 2,800K and 10,000K, much wider than the original MG1200Bi which is adjustable between 2800K and 6500K. This gives you the flexibility to either accurately match the colour temperature of the ambient lighting in your shooting environment, or to add mood and ambience to your shots!

It also features a ±100% Green/Magenta adjustment so you can more accurately match the colours of other lights that may be on-set, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into mixed lighting and brand scenarios, such HMIs or other types of LED. 

Control Options

It supports a plethora of professional control protocols, including DMX512 and LumenRadio CRMX, plus many more. It can also be controlled remotely using the Godox KNOWLED App via Bluetooth. This makes it easy to fit seamlessly into existing lighting setups and workflows with minimal interruption. 

IP54 Weatherproof

The KNOWLED MG6K's Light Body and Controller box are IP54 certified, in line with the IP rating of other MG Range lights in the KNOWLED catalogue. IP54 = dustproof and weather resistant, enabling it to be safely used in conditions such as rain or fog. No more shoots cut short for the sake of equipment!

KNOWLED G-Mount

The MG6K is fully compatible with Godox's ever-growing G-mount modifier ecosystem. When paired with accessories such as the MGR15°/30° reflector, BeamLight MAX60/90, the Motorised Three-Light Bracket, GL7 lantern softbox, and Fresnel Lens 18", the G-Mount ecosystem will give you access to a whole new world of lighting possibilities.
