Hasselblad x Godox - Do Godox make flashes for Hasselblad cameras?

If you're an avid Hasselblad shooter and you're looking for some new lighting equipment to pair with your camera, you may be considering Godox as an option.

To answer the age-old question: No, Godox does not make equipment specifically designed to work with Hasselblad cameras. HOWEVER, you can still use Godox kit with Hasselblad. Here's how to get around this:

Non-TTL Equipment

For non-TTL shooters, you have the most flexibility. Godox have the XT16 trigger, which is a universal, single-pin trigger that should work with any camera with an appropriate hotshoe. This means you can connect to any Godox off-camera flash to shoot with.

If you're looking for speedlites, Godox do offer some manual speedlites and mini flashes (such as the iM20 & iM30) which just communicate with the camera on the basic level. You can also use many TTL versions flashes in manual mode (so no TTL function) with a Hasselblad camera, as the basic functions will still work. Nifty!

Godox x Hasselblad TTL-Compatible Equipment

If you want TTL functions with Godox kit and your Hasselblad camera, you will need to specifically purchase NIKON versions of the kit you need. These flashes MUST be compatible with the Nikon i-TTL system to work with your Hasselblad camera. Without this, TTL will not work.

Godox flashes which are reported to have full iTTL Nikon Compatibility are:

• the iT32
• the V1Pro
• and the original V1

The V100 and V860III reportedly have intermittent success with TTL with Hasselblad so it may be better to go with the V1 or iT32.

Currently, the only camera brands that Godox service directly are Canon, Nikon, Sony, OM, Panasonic, Fujifilm and sometimes Pentax.
