Product Overview:
Both of these LED lights will offer you a continuous light source, eliminating that trial and error that you can sometimes experience with flash, where you can only make the adjustments after the shot has been taken. The Differences
Even though these lights are similar in a few aspects, there are some pretty major differences that you should consider when browsing.
Power & Connectivity.
The ML100Bi is able to be powered via Mains, Battery and V lock using a 14.8V V-Mount battery with the addition of the Ak-B02 V-Mount adapter (available separately), along with the option of using a USB-C power bank
The Sl100Bi is only available to be powered through Mains.
The Fittings
The ML100Bi Utilises the ever-popular Godox-Mount, allowing it to be fully compatible with GODOX’s ever expanding range of Godox Fitting Light Modifiers. (Can be extended to be compatible with the Bowens S mount using the ML-GB Bracket – Sold Separately)
The Sl100Bi is equipped with the Bowens S-Type fitting, making it fully compatible with a huge range of lighting modifiers on the market
Beam Angle
The Sl100Bi boasts a wide beam angle of 120°, perfect for those looking to illuminate a wider space without any dark spots
The Ml100Bi does not have a built in beam angle, but comes with a 15° reflector, and can be used with the ML-L36 36° reflector (Sold Separately)
Size
The Ml100Bi Measures in at 122mm x 110mm x 46mm, the smaller of the two lights, making it much more compact and portable, for those on the move.
The SL100Bi measures in at 243mm x 248mm x 127mm, the larger of the pair, better for those working from a studio.
Which One Should I Pick?
If you need something that allows you much more flexibility depending on your location, whilst not sacrificing power or performance, the ML100Bi is the light for you.
If you’re looking to improve your home studio and want to be able to generate much more even lighting in a much wider space, the Sl100Bi is a great option!
