The Differences
RGB vs Bi-Colour
The LD150RS features the full range of the RGB colour spectrum, making it perfect for creative projects.
The FL150R on the other hand, is Bi-Colour only, with a colour temperature range of 3300 ~ 5600.
Brightness
The LD150RS is the brighter of the two, providing up to 18,500 Lux at 1m.
The FL150R offers ~4,300 Lux at 1m.
Build Quality
The LD150RS boasts a sturdy metal frame, perfect for those that need a panel that is reliable in tougher environments and conditions.
The FL150R features a more lightweight, fully flexible panel structure. This allows the panel to be much more portable and compact, as well as allowing you to mould the panel in any shape or form you like. Perfect for those that are on the move and need a panel that is quick to set up.
Colour Rendition (CRI & TLCI)
The LD150RS features a CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of 96 and a TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) of 97, allowing this panel to, very accurately, replicate colours into your photos and videos.
The FL150R offers the same CRI but a higher TLCI of 98, meaning this will offer even more colour accuracy, making your photos and videos that slight bit sharper.
DMX Control
While both lights have the ability to be controlled via smartphone app and remote control, only the LD150RS has the option to be controlled by DMX. DMX control allows for communication with multiple light units, and for easy, consistent remote controlling for your lights.
This feature is most useful on professional, larger scale sets or productions.
Which One Should I Pick?
With the features of the LD150RS, this is perfect for those looking for more advanced control, with the high performance that is sought after by studios, filmmakers and high budget content creators.
If you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, that is much more portable and a little more user-friendly, the FL150R is the more suitable option.
