STORM400II Beginner Animal Portrait Photography Kit

The STORM400 II Beginner Animal Photography Kit is an easy-to-use mains-powered flash lighting set-up, that has been specifically designed to capture professional Animal Photography. The STORM400 II is a 400Ws Studio Flash unit that uses Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) technology to achieve extremely short flash durations, as well as ultra-fast recycle times, which allows you to capture fast motion with ease. The 60x120cm Offset Softbox offers a gradual fall off of light down the subject to offer maximum light coverage from a single source. The Background Stand offers a lightweight yet durable aluminium construction to provide extra support and protection during use and is suitable for extended periods of use. This kit is ideal for capturing Animal and Wildlife Photography. 

STORM 400 II Flash

Flash Duration: can achieve flash durations of up to 1/35086 second for sharper images and capturing motion or movement.

Super-Fast Recycling times: thanks to the IGBT Technology it boasts a super-fast recycling time, as fast as 0.05 seconds, which is fast enough to keep up with the Multi-Bust mode on most  DSLR cameras on the market.

Power Range: has an 8-stop power range (1/1 – 1/128 power) in 1/10^th stop power increments with 16 controllable groups and 32 different channels to provide maximum flexibility and control with your flash.

Flash Modes: High-Speed Sync mode (up to 1/8000 sec) to help overpower the sun, and a multi-flash mode, with a  range of 2 and 100 flashes at a frequency between 1 and 99Hz (flashes per second), which allows you to create many different effects such as stroboscopic photography, and Rear-curtain Sync mode.

Built-in 2.4GHz flash receiver: allows it to be used in conjunction with the ST-III, ST-IV, or Pro AC 2.4GHz flash Triggers. This allows you to control your flash heads remotely such as flash power settings, Modelling lamp on/off, changing groups & channels and Triggering. (making it also part of the ONE System)

S-Type accessory mount: making it compatible with a wide range of accessories and modifiers. 

60x120cm Offset Softbox

Shape (60x120cm)- Unique asymmetric design, focus most of the illumination from your light on your subject’s face and head, with a smooth, gradual fall of down the rest of your subject’s body, effecting getting a key light and fill light from a single light source.

Fittings & Extras: included with Bowens S-Type ring comes included with 2 diffusers and Honeycomb grid.

Setup: the easy-open umbrella-like setup means you can pop the softbox up in just seconds and disassemble it just as easy, ideal for use on location.
