The 40x40cm Softbox is essential addition any Strobist photographer’s arsenal. This softbox converts the harsh lighting of the bare flash into a flattering, soft, homogenous light. With its Pop-Up design, it is quick and easy to set up, perfect for photographers who are always on the move. This softbox also comes with an S-Type Speedring, enabling it to be used with virtually any Bowens S-Type Fitting Lightign Units. The perfect companion for any photographer that regularly shoots with small flashes, whether they are shooting still life, portrait, weddings, events, commercial, fashion, beauty, food, product, or macro photography.

Quick and Easy Set-up

The 40x40cm Speedlite softbox’s flexible steel frame, allows it to pop-open when ready for use, enabling it to be set up in less than a minute. Simply pull it out of its carrying pouch, then let it pop open. Then unfold it, attach the diffusers and grid (if required) then you’re ready to shoot. When you’re done, it can be folded down to about 1/3rd of its size and put back into its carrying bag.

Soft Lighting Anywhere

The 40x40cm Speedlite softbox features two layers of diffusion, designed to increase the relative size of your Lightsource, producing soft, even lighting, whilst also reducing specularity. Perfect for outdoor Portraits, weddings, events, food, and product photography.

Highly Reflective Interior

Its highly reflective silver interior enables the softbox to bounce the light around the softbox’s interior, maximising light efficiency. The softbox’s black exterior helps prevent light leakage and absorbs any stray ambient lighting from contaminating the colour temperature of the light from the flash. 

Bowens S-Type Fitting

The softbox features a Bowens S-Type fitting speedring which fits our range of flash lighting, and is also the most common fitting currently available on the marketing, allowing it to be suitably compatible with a wide range of lighting options. The Softbox simply attaches to the mount on the front of your flash and encapsulates the bulb.
