Product Information
Description

The PIXAPRO® PRO AC wireless flash trigger set equivalent to Godox's FT16, is a 16 channel 433MHz radio flash trigger can support flash grouping and allow you to control your flash(es) remotely. Since the PIXAPRO® PRO AC wireless flash trigger set works using radio waves, you do not require direct line of sight with your flashes for them to work, and also you can work at greater distances (up to 50m) from your flash, giving you more flexibility. Because they operate by radio waves, they are also not affected by bright light as optical triggers can sometimes be.

The PRO AC wireless flash trigger features 16 different channels, allowing you to still use your flashes without the worry of accidentally triggering somebody else’s flashes who might be working within your vicinity. If you have a flash that is compatible, you can also control the power levels of your flashes, either in groups or individually.

The PRO AC wireless flash trigger system is designed to work with the PIXAPRO® Lumi series studio flashes. It is also compatible with the PIXAPRO® PRO speedlite transceivers.

Features:

  • Wireless control
  • Setting flash power on/off, power level, modelling light on/off, buzzer on/off, and flash triggering
  • Receiver require no batteries as it is powered by the flash.
  • Remote power adjustment
  • Each group can be set to 16 different power levels
  • LCD display
  • Durable Metal Hot shoe

PIXAPRO® PRO AC WIRELESS 16 Channel Radio Flash Trigger set

Good quality and good price

Pixapro deliver yet again!

Again Pixapro never fail to deliver great quality products...i use these in conjunction with the Lumi studio strobes and they work perfectly, the controller saves all that messing about with power changes and modelling lamps at the back of the units and gives me the freedom to shoot untethered in the studio. The units talk fantastically well with each other and the range is excellent!

Questions & Answers

Answer:

Our flash triggers are not compatible with PocketWizard triggers unfortunately.

The Built-in flash trigger on the Sekonic Flash Meters, are also not compatible with our triggers, however you can still meter the flash by pressing the "TEST" button on the flash trigger. Most flash meters have a mode where it will wait a certain amount of time after the mesure button has been pressed for a flash to fire. Simply put your meter into this mode, press the "Measure" button on the meter, and then press the "Test" button on the trigger to fire the flash so you can get your exposure reading (Please refer to your flash meter's manual for more details).

Answer:

It depends on whether your camera has the old style, or new styled Sony hot-shoe. If your camera has the new styled hot-shoe, then you shouldn't require an adapter. If your camera has the old styled hot shoe however, you will require a hot-shoe adapter of some description. (Please see photo below).

PLEASE NOTE: If you require TTL or High-Speed sync, please check that the adapter you purchase is capable of transmitting TTL data.

Sony hot-shoe types

Answer:

So long as all of your lights are set to the same channel, they should all fire regardless of what group they are set to. The groups are basically just for controlling the individual lights. If you need to have it so that only certain flashes fire, all you need to do is set the lights that you don’t need to the “OFF” setting from the trigger (represented by “OF” on the LCD display on the trigger, and on the Digital Display on the flash head).

For Example, if you set your key light to group 1, your side lights are set to group 2 and your hair light is set to group 3, then you decide that you don’t want your hair light to fire on this shot, all you need to do is simply turn the dial on your trigger to group three, and set that light to off (which is shown on the digital display on your trigger and light as “OF”), and then it won’t fire… Similarly if you didn’t want your key light to fire, then you’d just turn the dial to group 1 and set the key light to off, then your key light won’t fire anymore and so on and so forth.

Answer:

The Chances are you have it in the wrong mode for your flash. First of all, make sure that your transmitter and receiver(s) are both on the same channel and in the same group. Next check that your transmitter is in the correct mode for the type of flash head you are using.

If the display on the transmitter is showing a decimal number (e.g. 5.0 or 6.7 etc.), this means that it is in the mode for controlling our studio strobes such as Lumi, storm and Kino Heads. If the digital display shows a fraction (e.g. 1/1 or 1/16 etc.), it means that you are in the mode for controlling the PowerCore Portable Flash (this mode will also control a Li-Ion 580 Speedlite if you have an ST-I receiver attached).

To switch between the two modes, simply hold the “Set” button on the transmitter for a couple of seconds, and the mode should switch from one to the other.
