In order to do this, you will need software that supports “Tethered Capture” (such as Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture etc.) and also some way of connecting your camera to your computer (usually via a USB cable).
Please NOTE: Not all cameras support Tethered Capture, and not all software that supports tethered capture supports all cameras. Check with the manufacturers beforehand.
For Example, if you set your key light to group 1, your side lights are set to group 2 and your hair light is set to group 3, then you decide that you don’t want your hair light to fire on this shot, all you need to do is simply turn the dial on your trigger to group three, and set that light to off (which is shown on the digital display on your trigger and light as “OF”), and then it won’t fire… Similarly if you didn’t want your key light to fire, then you’d just turn the dial to group 1 and set the key light to off, then your key light won’t fire anymore and so on and so forth.

Brilliant product - just as it should be.
I already have two 200Ws Pixapro Lumi studio Flash heads which I am very happy with, but decided to get the more powerful 400Ws version as my main light so that there is plenty of power when using soft boxes with diffusers and other light modifiers. I decided to use this same UK based seller again because of their fast delivery service, UK backup and warranty and so I could be certain that it would be designed for UK voltage and fitted with UK 3 pin plug and power cable.
This light has all the features that I consider to be important: Flash brightness as claimed and verified using my light meter, wireless USB port for optional wireless control , 6 stop range, internal cooling fan, auto power dump, reflector supplied, glass dome lamp protector supplied, auto memory, LED power display.
I already have a wireless transmitter and spare receiver for use with this light and everything works as it should do. I like being able to switch off modelling lights remotely rather than using the manual switch on the back of the head to avoid shaking a hot modelling bulb and reducing its life span.
So everything is up and go for my next shoot in two days time
