Product Information
Description

The PIXAPRO® Li-ion580II S is a powerful TTL speedlite designed for use with Sony cameras. Unlike traditional speedlites which run off of 4x AA batteries, the Li-ION580II S uses a rechargeable 2000mAh Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) rechargeable battery. Since it is powered by a Li-ion battery as opposed to AA batteries, it has ultra-fast recycling times of up to 1.5 seconds at full power with virtually no slowdown as the power as the battery power diminishes.  The battery can power up to approximately 650 full-power flashes per charge, removing the need for bulky external battery packs, or a bags of AA batteries.

As well as being powered by a Li-Ion battery, the PIXAPRO® Li-ion580 II S also features a Built-In 2.4GHz receiver making it fully compatible with the Pixapro ST-III S TTL flash trigger system. The PIXAPRO® Li-ion580 II S, together the Pro ST-III S have a massive working range of up to 100m in an open area. You also have a choice of 32 different channel, and 5x groups giving you maximum flexibility for your photographic projects.

The Li-ion580II S also has Master and Slave functionality, allowing it to be optically triggered and controlled wirelessly off-camera by other Li-Ion580II S speedlites, or Sony Speedlites with a Master flash mode such as the HVL-F60M and HVL-F43M etc.

The Li-ion580II S also has other features usually associated with TTL compatible flashes, including High-Speed Sync (up to 1/8000 sec), Second-Curtain Sync, Flash-Exposure Compensation (up to 3 stops).

The PIXAPRO® Li-ion580II S Speedlite has an 8-stop power range (1/1 to 1/128 power) adjustable in 1/3 stop increments, with flash durations between 1/300 second to 1/20,000 second (dependant on flash power output) which opens up a whole world of possibilities. It also features a variety of different flash modes. This includes a multi-flash mode, which can be set to between 2 and 90 flashes at a frequency between 1 and 100Hz (flashes per second), which allows you to create many different effects such as stroboscopic photography. It features a user-friendly interface, with a large LCD screen with large, easy to access buttons and a control dial, which allows you to quickly and easily adjust your flash settings.

This is the Speedlite that both amateur and professional photographers have been waiting for a long time.
