The LED100D MKII Three-Head Boom Kit with Roller Case consists of 3x 100W 5600K Daylight-balanced S-Type mains-powered COB LED studio lights which use the latest High-Intensity Integrated LED technology. It has a CRI (Colour-Rendering Index) rating of 95 for accurate colour reproduction, and a TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) rating of 95 for impeccable colour consistency. This makes them suitable for professional broadcast use, as well as for cinematography and smaller video productions. It is also suitable for stills photography, including portraits and products etc. The integrated COB LED chip is also Flicker-Free, meaning you can shoot a virtually any framerate, or any shutter-angle without fear of introducing flicker.
The LED100D MKII is super-bright with a lux rating of approximately 10,800 Lux at 1m (equivalent in brightness to a 1000W Halogen light with the standard 7” Reflector (please note the modifier used will affect the brightness). The LED100D MKII uses the popular Bowens S-Type Bayonet mount, which enables it to be used with a wide range of lighting modifiers, including Softboxes, reflectors, snoots and Beauty Dishes etc.
The LED100D MKII features a dimmer dial which enables you to control the brightness of the unit between 100-10% brightness. It also has a built-in 2.4GHz wireless radio remote receiver, which gives you the option to control up to 99 units with up to 10 different channels with the optional remote control (sold separately). The LED100D MKII features an S-Type accessory mount which enables you to use your LED100D MKII in conjunction with a multitude of S-Type fitting light modifiers that are available on the market.
This Kit also comes with 3x sets of barn doors, which enable you to control the direction of light. The Barn door set also comes with a Honeycomb Grid, and a set of four coloured gels, when enable you to add creative flair to your work. This kit also comes with a 2in1 boom stand, which enables you to position one your lights overhead as a hair light or a separation light, which gives your work a three-dimensional look. The kit also comes with a padded roller case which enables you to easily transport your lights wherever you need them.

The LED100D MKIIs come supplied with standard UK 3-Pin plugs. However they can still be used in the USA or Canada by either using an adapter, or by switching the power cable for one with a US/Canadian styled plug. The LED100D MKII uses a standard IEC320 connection (as seen in the photo below), so you should be able to pick them up from any good electronics retailer.

Pixapro LED100D Daylight lights in use
Some time ago I decided to change from using traditional studio flash units and move over to LED continuous lights. I wanted to get LED’s that were an equivalent to my old system so that I could carry on using my collection of soft boxes, beauty dishes and shoots. After doing some research and a visit to The Photography Show at the NEC I discovered Pixapro LED100D MKII daylight heads and these came with the standard ‘S’ type fitting – perfect!
I have been using this for over a year now and found them to be excellent for the work I do in the studio and on location. From time to time I arrange a shoot that is just for the fun of it so when I was asked by a model friend of mine for some pregnancy ‘bump’ shots I arranged a little something special. I contacted Charlotte Madhoodi, a make-up artist and body painter, and gathered some props to create a kind of woodland bower in the studio in which to sit the ‘Earth Godess’ Oona.

The lights are fantastic I saw it first on Ugly McGregor's channel on YouTube and then watched the review on Nisan Simantov's channel. I am using two of these as my keylight shot through a 1 stop scrim along with two Aputure 768 panels for fill. I wish I had seen these lights beforemore light for the same price
