This Male Screw Spigot adapter features one flat side, for a greater grip surface to prevent your lights or accessories from spinning around, such as lighting on a boom arm. This spigot also has a 1/4” screw on one end and 3/8” screw on the other, allowing you to attach it to a variety of photography accessories such as; cameras, hot-shoe & cold-shoe adapters, tripods, triggers, ball heads, wireless flash receivers, and much more.

Does what it's supposed to. Pity the one that came with the stand didn't have the flat side to prevent a light twisting on the boom arm. I would have saved £10.
