LED100D MKIII Twin Kit with Hard Case

The PIXAPRO LED100D MKIII Pro Twin-Kit with Hard Case is everything that you loved about the LED100D MKII, but with a re-designed heat-dissipation system, allowing for quieter operation at less than 18dB. The LED100D MKIII Pro is a lightweight, 5600K Daylight balanced 100W LED continuous studio light with Bowens S-Type fitting, which uses the latest High-Intensity Integrated COB LED technology.

It has a brightness in excess of 11,000 lux at 1m with the included standard seven-inch reflector, which is the equivalent brightness of a 1K tungsten lamp, wh­ilst using approximately 10% of the energy, and running many times cooler. The LED100D MKIII Pro is mains-powered but has the option to be powered by a V-Lock battery when shooting on location (V-mount battery plate sold separately).

The PIXAPRO LED100DMKIII has impeccable colour quality, with a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of ≥95, for super-accurate colour reproduction, and a Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI) rating of ≥95 (which is the industry standard measurement of colour fidelity). This assures that you can achieve the best representation of colour possible, meaning that it is suitable for professional broadcasting use, as well as for cinematography, Television production and other video applications. It is also suitable for stills photography, including portraits and products etc.

The LED100D MKIII Pro features a new, completely re-designed heat-dissipation system. The LED100D MKIII’s chassis, which is covered in large ventilation slits, to maximise airflow or more efficient heat dissipation.  It also features a new built-in super-quiet electronic fan, with noise levels of less-than 18dB which is virtually inaudible, even when the LED100D MKIII Pro is being used at its full power during extended shoots. This makes the LED100D MKIII Pro suitable for use for any filming application.

The LED100D MKIII Pro features a dimmer dial which enables you to control the brightness of the unit between 100-10% brightness in either intervals of 10%, for quick adjustments or 1% for more precise adjustments. The LED100D MKIII Pro now features a new Memory function, which enables you to store and instantly access previous settings, for ideal for repeated lighting setups.

The LED100D MKIII Pro features an XLR-4 port with cable locks. This enables you to plug the mains power adapter, without fear of it accidentally coming loose during a shoot.  The XLR-4 port also enables you to connect a plate for a V-mount battery (sold separately), for times when you would like to shoot on location, or away from mains power (we recommend the PiXAPRO BP 130 V-Mount battery for best compatibility).

Despite its professional grade metal outer-casing, the LED100D MKIII Pro is lightweight, weighing in at around 2.5kg. This allows filmmakers to effortlessly take it anywhere, without having lug around heavy tungsten fixtures with generators. This kit also comes with a Waterproof Hard Rolling case, with a pick and pluck foam lining, enabling you to configure the case to fit your needs. The case also features wheels, enabling you to take your LED100D MKIIIs anywhere without having to physically carry it.

The LED100D MKIII Pro also features a USB port, which enables you to connect a 2.4GHz wireless radio remote receiver dongle, which enables it to be used with a wireless remote control (both dongle and remote are sold separately), allowing you to control up to 99 units with up to 10 different channels simultaneously.  

The LED100D MKIII Pro uses the popular Bowens S-Type Bayonet mount, which enables it to be used with a with a wide range of lighting modifiers, including Softboxes, reflectors, snoots, Beauty Dishes and Fresnel lenses etc.

Please be aware when using the high powered LED COB chips although these will produce little heat, you will need to ensure sufficient air flow when using a modifier to avoid it causing damage to the light or modifier.
