The PIXAPRO LED100B MKIII Pro Flat-Lay Food Cinematography Kit has been put together to help you create stunning Flat-Lay food shots for use as B-Roll, or for social-media use. This kit comes with a large 90cm easy-open softbox, which produces soft and even lighting, paired with a 2in1 Boom stand which enables you to position your light up above your subject. Also bundled with this kit is the LED100B MKIII Pro Bi-colour LED light, which gives you the ability to adjust the colour temperature of your light, to help emulate different times of the day, such as the warm glow of early morning, or late afternoon, or to emulate the cooler tones of mid-afternoon. Ideal for Product and Food Cinematographers who would like to emulate Natural Window Light.
The LED100B MKIII Pro features a new, completely re-designed heat-dissipation system. The LED100B MKIII’s chassis, which is covered in large ventilation slits, to maximise airflow or more efficient heat dissipation. It also features a new built-in super-quiet electronic fan, with noise levels of less than 18dB which is virtually inaudible, even when the LED100B MKIII Pro is being used at its full power during extended shoots. This makes the LED100B MKIII Pro suitable for use for any filming application.
The PIXAPRO LED100BMKIII has impeccable colour quality, with a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 95+, for super-accurate colour reproduction, and a Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI) rating of 97+ (which is the industry standard measurement of colour fidelity). This assures that you can achieve the best representation of colour possible, meaning that it is suitable for professional broadcasting use, as well as for cinematography, Television production and other video applications. It is also suitable for stills photography, including portraits and products etc.
Since the LED100B MKIII is Bi-Colour, you can also vary the colour temperature anywhere between 3200K (Tungsten) and 5600K (Daylight), without any loss of brightness. Unlike traditional LED panels, where the bi-colour version is only half as bright as their single-colour counterpart, the LED100B MKIII is just as bright as the Daylight-only version, the LED200D MKIII throughout its full range of colour temperatures. This means you will always have the equivalent of a 2K light available at all colour temperatures.
It has a brightness of more than 11,000 lux at 1m with the included standard seven-inch reflector, which is the equivalent brightness of a 2K tungsten lamp, whilst using approximately 10% of the energy, and running many times cooler. It features a dimmer dial which enables you to control the brightness of the unit between 100-10% brightness in either intervals of 10%, for quick adjustments or 1% for more precise adjustments. The LED100B MKIII Pro now features a new Memory function, which enables you to store and instantly access previous settings, ideal for repeated lighting setups.
The LED100B MKIII Pro’s features a professional grade metal outer-casing, weighing in at around 3.6kg, which is considerably lighter than heavy tungsten fixtures with generators, which allows filmmakers to effortlessly take it anywhere they want with ease. It also features an XLR-4 port with cable locks. This enables you to plug the mains power adapter, without fear of it accidentally coming loose during a shoot.
The LED100B MKIII Pro also features a USB port, which enables you to connect a 2.4GHz wireless radio remote receiver dongle, which enables it to be used with a wireless remote control (both dongle and remote are sold separately), allowing you to control up to 99 units with up to 10 different channels simultaneously.
Please be aware when using the high-powered LED COB chips although these will produce little heat, you will need to ensure sufficient airflow when using a modifier to avoid it causing damage to the light or modifier.
