FAQ: EASIFRAME Curved Background Systems

A new option for studio renters and those with a home studio - if you were looking for a cyclorama wall or infinity cove for your studio space to make your images and video look professional and reduce editing time, then you're in luck! The new EASIFRAME Curved Background system replicates the cyclorama background effect with just a simple background frame and fabric skin, to give you an affordable and portable option for the infinity cove effect without the cost and stress of remodelling your studio!

How does it work?

The EASIFRAME backdrop system comprises of a collapsible frame base, which can be used with a wide variety of interchangeable fabric skins! Fabric skins are completely removeable as they affix via a simple silicone edge on the skin which slots into the frame to produce a smooth, taut background effect that looks professional, and reduces the need for background clean-up in the editing process.

Despite the soft fabric skin material, the design of the frame and system means even when models and items are stood on the background, no creasing or stretching of the fabric will be seen, keeping your setup looking high-quality.

How do you set EASIFRAME backgrounds up?

The instructions manual can be found here for the EASIFRAME curved background setup:

If you have the frame extension kit, these extenders can be placed within the frame wherever needed, to give you the extra height or width effect you need!

How long do they take to set up?

With the Allen keys provided, Easiframe Curved background systems can be set up anywhere in under 20 minutes. Two people are generally recommended for the setup process to streamline this.

The screws used for the EASIFRAME V2 are M6 x 6mm screws, which are readily available at DIY stores, so you don't have to wait for spare parts if you lose any!

How is it mounted?

The set comes with wall brackets if you're planning on affixing it to your studio walls as a more permanent fixture, however if you're on location or aren't able to currently affix brackets to your studio walls, you can use light stands if you'd like a free-standing solution.

At EssentialPhoto, we're also lucky to be one of the only suppliers that offers two complementary freestanding adapters with the EASIFRAME V2 frames, so that you can use your backgrounds without light stands or fixing them to walls.

What kind of background options are there?

We're currently stocking over 40 different colours and texture patterns at EssentialPhoto, all of which can be purchased on a made-to-order basis.

This includes plain black and white, chroma-key green, and a range of colours from pink, blue, purple, green, tan, brown, grey, and more!

Are the background skins washable?

The EASIFRAME Skin fabric is Dye-sublimated, this allows them to be washed when required on a cold wash cycle. If your fabric skin becomes dirty, you can machine wash it and hang it out to air dry. Simple as that!

They don't even need steaming or ironing due to their crease-resistant fabric!

We're proud to be one of EASIFRAME's new official partners, bringing the patented curved background frame to a UK store for the first time! Find out more about the Easiframe Cyclorama system here: https://www.essentialphoto.co.uk/blogs/easiframe/new-in-easiframe%C2%AE-cyclorama-fabric-backgrounds
